49er European championship is over

We made it back home after 12 days in Helsinki, we have had some really good racing and it felt good to be back racing against everyone after our 2 months training period.

We had good feeling before the regatta but we unfortunately had boat breakage, twice. We have learn from our misstakes and it won’t happen again.

The overall score isn’t what we hoped for, but we know that we have improved and we are sailing the boat faster and more accurate than every before.

The team will take two weeks off before we go back to sailing again, we can’t wait to go to Santander, ISAF worlds which is our next event.

Preperations for Europeans in Helsinki

After almost two months of training in sweden we are on our way to the next event. This time we take the ferry to Finland for participating in the 2014th Europeans. The will be a big event with over 80 49ers. This will be a good preparation before the isaf world championship in Santader, Spain in september.

We will race just outside Helsinki and will launch our boats from the city-side. The courses will be small and there will be tricky conditions, we have an open mind and won’t give up until the last race is done.

We will have a few days of training, do the last preparations and measure the boat before the racing starts on tuesday.
