World cup in Palma

Tomorrow starts the World Cup in Palma which is the biggest regatta at Palma ever with 600boats competing in different classes.

We finished our preparation and build up period today by polishing the boat. Everything else is sorted and we are at our best.

The last few days have been good. Friday gave us good confident in the medium/strong breeze while raceing against the best German boats.

With a layday on Saturday we manage to put all our sticker on(country flag, sail numbers and flag) to our new sails.
We also put on our best robes from robline.

Sunday, the day before the regatta, which always includes a power hour session on the water. Today, we experienced light, really light breeze but did it very well and had very good speed.

Thanks to our sponsors:
Båths, magicmarine and FSE robline for supplying the best gears.

First week – check

We have made it threw another 3 days of sailing. Some days with one session and some days with two. What we do know is that we and the other swedes are first to arrive the boatpark almost every morning. Sometimes launching before second nation arrive – good feeling!

We been have light air sailing more or less every day, perfect for us to improve our technic and speed in those tricky conditions.

If that wasn’t enough, both Gurra and Marcus made an exam today on our layday. Both are happy it’s over for know and will not comment in wether they think they passed or not. The future will tell us.

The boat is on its way to Palma

It’s been a busy week, last preparation with robes/clothes/spare things for our newest boat.

We made it and have successfully loaded it with Team Carl/Otto new big trailer. They started the 2000km long trip to Barcelona which ends with a 10hours ferry from Barcelona to Palma, Mallorca.

Team Gurra/Marcus is lucky and will take a flight on Tuesday morning and will arrive more or less at the same time as the trailer, in time for rigging and preparation of the boat.
